So a special lady finally catches your eye. You get to know her, and soon you start to hear wedding bells. Not so fast, my friend! It would take more than getting to know your girl before you could find a venue and select catering and wedding videography packages with her. It would take a lot of romancing on your part!
If you don’t have any idea what romance is all about, then read on and find out how you can make your girl feel special during three of the critical stages of a romantic relationship.
When going on dates
From the very first date, you should already be treating your girl like she’s a queen. You can borrow a page from your grandfather’s book and do gentlemanly things, like opening doors for her, pulling out her chair, picking up the tab (especially on your first date), and more. If she’s a feminist, try to explain that you’re doing these things for her not because she’s a woman but because you want to make her feel special. For good measure, you can also send her flowers or chocolates and call, text, or write her letters just to let her know that she’s always in your thoughts.
When popping the question
Say you and your girl have already been together for some time. If you’re both ready, the next logical step in your relationship is getting engaged. Perhaps even more so than when you were dating, you need to be romantic when asking your girl to marry you. Start with picking the right ring. Maybe you can propose with a priceless family heirloom to make the momentous event more meaningful. Next, your speech should have all the right and sweet words to ultimately convince your girl to say yes to you. Of course, the when (her birthday, your anniversary, etc) and where (your unique spot in the local park, the restaurant where you had your first date, etc.) will help make your proposal genuinely romantic if planned right.
When tying the knot
Finally, all your dates and proposal lead to the Big Day: your wedding. But can you be any more romantic when marrying the love of your life? The answer is a resounding yes! You can still make your bride feel more loved during your wedding day. For one, you can have a gift like a piece of jewelry sent to her on the morning of the wedding to start her day right. During the ceremony, surprise her by reciting the wedding vow you wrote. And throughout the event, you shouldn’t forget to give her your full attention, repeatedly telling her how beautiful she is and how lucky you are to be spending the rest of your life with her.
From dating to the wedding day (and during the marriage), you’ll have to go to great lengths to make your girl feel special. That said, a romantic relationship is never a one-way street. Your girl should also do her part to make you feel special. So if your girl already does, then she’s probably The One.
